So which poster here will be the first to get banned by Hawk?

I am going to try to get blocked by both. I have already been blocked by Stephen A Smith.

I've managed to get David Kaplan to block me twice. Not sure why he ever unblocked me.

Bernstein muted me when I told him try "try harder" to find the magical channel the Hawks were on. Soft.

I do not understand.

He was throwing a hissy fit to one of the cable companies about the Hawks not being on TV when it was actually on a random channel until another OT game finished up and they could switch it back to NBC sports. I just wrote "try a little harder, Dan" since it was actually still on another channel and then he muted me on Twitter ( which I know because I use to do his stupid crossword puzzles he tweeted and now he never acknowledges I was right, even when I answer first.)

It's not a particularly good story, but I threw it out there since everyone was posting their stories and he's a douche.

Trolling reporters and announcers on Twitter seems unbelievably lame to me

To be fair, it seems like it's the idiots who get trolled. SAS, Kaplan, Broussard, Bernstein, Gordo, etc. It's not like people are trolling Patrick Mooney for kicks and giggles. And from what I can tell it's mostly just random funny replies to tweets, it's not like people are spamming them with 50 unsolicited @'s.

Hard to believe Stone used to be regarded as a baseball savant. Whenever I listen now he sounds like a miserable old man.

This post would have been accurate in 1998.

He seemed into it in 2003 IIRC. From 2004 onward he has sounded like he'd rather be anyplace in the world other than the ballpark.

no idea where to put this, but hawk has some d-bag competition from a fellow white sox announcer:

http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/07/20/white-sox-announcer-ed-farmer-thinks-people-need-to-throw-at-the-royals/

I’m not sure when it happened — had to be back in the Nixon Administration — but at some point White Sox’ announcer Ed Farmer took a disliking to the Royals. Or at least so it seems.

Farmer, famous for throwing at and injuring Al Cowens and Frank White in a single Rangers-Royals game back in 1979, was in the booth for the White Sox-Royals game on Saturday. His highlights:

Saying that if a Royals batter squared to bunt, the pitcher should throw at the batter;

Lecturing Eric Hosmer for not playing the game the right way because he showed some excitement at what he thought was a big hit, but which was caught by an infielder; and

Saying, after Lorenzo Cain hit a big go-ahead home run and looked into his dugout with excitement, “If I’m on the mound and he does that, next time up when I face him he’s looking at the sky.”

I've never understood that mentality. A guy beats you fairly, so the appropriate reaction is to chuck a 90mph fastball at him endangering both his life and income potential.

Because baseball is very much not a tough guy sport but some guys feel their masculinity threatened by that fact and over compensate.
