Today he said he thinks Castro is one of the best hitters in the game, but he is trying too hard. Do you agree

With trying too hard? Sure, I guess. He looks completely out of balance at the plate for the most part so if that's him trying too hard why not.

Not sure if anyone else listens to the score but Joe is on every Tuesday at Noon CST (AM670)

Last night's stroll around the bases by Castro on his HR demonstrates that he still doesn't get it. His problem is still lack of concentration, whether it's in the field, running the bases or at the plate. 12 errors already in 2 months. Joe isn't going to slam him, because it would hurt his trade value. But how many managers and coaches are we going to go thru before we stop pandering to him? They'll trade him when a 2-3 SP in available, but Castro hasn't changed his attitude and his production has dropped.

Castro must think the Marlins are idiots who care about time to home plate on home runs, so he's banking on upping his OBP when they plunk him in retaliation. What a gamer.

30 seconds to trot 360 feet. Your bar is pretty low, David.

I want the next guy who hits one to try for sixty

Whoa, I thought this was a snappy little bit of satire at first. Damn, that's some deep hate. This guy is trying to make him sound like Cutler or some [expletive].

Players should sprint around the bases or they're not Playing the Game the Right Way.

It didn't work out very well when Oscar Taveras tried to get home fast

The average dong trots are around 23 seconds give or take a few seconds both ways. I feel like Leiter's sitting at home with a stopwatch and suddenly turns instantly livid once the 28 second threshold is broken.

Now I kind of do want Starlin to be traded, just for his own sake. The media has reached a new low with their coverage of him. This has been dissected way too much.

Although, David Ross just said something really awesome and funny (from Gonzales' twitter): "He’s probably got more home runs than I do. I can’t tell him to run the bases." Ross

i love cocky stuff like staring down home runs and taking forever to round the bases, but it did look kind of dumb when you consider how much ass he's been sucking. then again, it did piss off the marlins announcers, and that was fun to listen to.

I'm going to have to find a clip of that. Nothing more entertaining than listening to meatball opponent announcers crying about Cub player behavior.
