Cya Thibs. Your offensive system sucks but you probably wringed as much mileage as possible out of the under talented team you've been given.

I can't tell so I'll just ask- is this a shot at the FO or an acknowledgment of the injuries (Rose in particular)?

The team is plenty talented. The offensive approach is also plenty limited. And the coach falls in love with the worst players on his roster. Edited by RynoRules

I don't know the cap specifics, but how can the Bulls possibly give Jimmy Butler a max deal?

By offering him a max deal.

Or letting another team.

Bird rights and RFA means he's ours if we want him.

Is this a trick question?

I understand that it is possible, but wouldn't it put them into uncharted luxury tax territory? That certainly doesn't seem like something Reinsdorf would be thrilled about.

Probably can give him a max and still stay under the luxury tax with the cap going up so much the next 2 years

That explains it then.

I gotta check but I don't think so. But they'll pay it for one year. Multiple years are the bigger concern, but skyrocketing cap and expiring deals make that not a concern

Not talented enough when Rose is fluctuating between flashes of his old self and an inefficient possession sucker.

Not even Reinsdorf would let Jimmy Butler get away to avoid the tax.

Collins who I'm sure knows things talking like Thibs is a goner

Collins also makes sense when he talks. JVG should take note.

Yup. He might trade solid players for pennies on the dollar to stay under the tax to keep Butler but he will definitely resign him.

Once again, series was over with the LeBron buzzer beater. This is a completely different series if the Bulls didn't blow that 10 point lead in game 4.

And good riddance to Tom Thibodeau. One of the most overrated coaches of all-time. The regular season success means absolutely nothing when he has a career losing record in the playoffs. He'll never win anything of substance due to the fact that he's so stubborn to change.

according to the score tibs was gonna get traded to new Orleans for a 1st round pick

A half was plenty of this garbage for me tonight. Sometimes I wish MJ hadn't sucked me into liking the Bulls before I realized how [expletive] stupid the NBA is.
