And this is all happening with Kyrie hobbled on the sideline.

Crappy calls aside, this is mostly on the Bulls.

and love out. it's hard for me to be mad about officiating when the other team is clearly just better.

I remember when Thibs teams guarded the 3 point line really well. Granted the Cavs are inexplicably hitting some tough shots but they are getting a lot of open looks.

Just let LeBron get his points and stop throwing help at him. He always finds the open shooter. You have one of the best defenders in the league guarding him. Let him go 1-on-1 and he will get his 30-35 points but won't be able to find their many shooters open

Also maybe GarPax will take this as a lesson that they need to surround their stars with shooters. Ok Niko didn't work out (in terms of 3 point shooting), Thibs refused to play Doug/he wasn't ready. But damn you have Dunleavy and then who? Maybe Butler and maybe Brooks.

Look at the Cavs. They get James Jones and Mike Miller on minimum deals, and manage to get Shumpert and JR Smith in season, while the Bulls struggled to get any spacing with Dunleavy injured a long chunk of the season, killing the offense with opponents clogging the lane

I'm just trying to figure out what happened; it's honestly like the Bulls just decided to try and bludgeon everyone else after Kyrie, and when that didn't work they just started hurling up terrible shots, bludgeoning even more and leaving almost everyone open behind the 3 point line. How does a very much in control game suddenly just completely unravel over some bad/missed calls?

Yes, this. Let a hurting LeBron try to do all the inside scoring he wants; stop giving them so many open 3's.

seems like the perfect thing for the mouthbreathers to pin on thibs as the bulls fire him

It's hysterical that that Tristan Thompson +1 is being fawned over as a highlight. He literally jumps on top of a defender who is looking the other way and somehow draws the foul.

In the bigger picture, yeah, that sucks, but in the context of this specific quarter how the hell does he let them spaz out like that?

shumpert had to have done something to piss off niko. that just came out of nowhere.

LeBron is going to put the Bulls out of their misery in the second half. If Thibs if fired and Holberg stays in Iowa, who would be the next best coaching candidate?

The number of sub-20 point quarters the Bulls have produced in this series is fairly amazing. Granted I'm not a fan and did not watch them much during the regular season but I was under the impression they actually had more scoring punch this season compared to past Thibodeau teams.
