The quotes thing and it annoys me that it doesn't obey the censors.

It only disobeys the censors on Tapatalk, though, correct? For whatever reason I see swears on Tapatalk but if it's a quoted post it reverts to being censored.

I'm in the same boat where I'm rocking an older phone so I still prefer Tapatalk to some degree, but I've been trying to get used to it on mobile. I won't be too bummed if you take out Tapatalk.

With the improvements to the site on mobile, would anyone be terribly upset if I removed tapatalk for the time being?

I think it looks a lot better on mobile than on tapatalk now. Anyone who disagrees is a chump.

I agree with you, but as someone using a damn near 3 year old phone, opening up the forum on a mobile web browser vs. tapatalk is night and day. Tapatalk is fast to the point, but opening up on a mobile browser is laggy and slow. It's not the forum, it's the phone, I understand that.

But does having Tapatalk enabled do something to the forum? Does it slow it down or make it weird or something aside from the quote issue?

It's not just the phone. I have a newer phone and I still prefer Tapatalk's speed and simplicity.

It also doesn't (didn't?) obey the friends/foes list. It shows you that "Tim" has posted "The quotes thing and it annoys me that it doesn't obey the censors." and is on your foes list.

is there a way to block embedded tweets and youtube videos from the display? i like the screen to remain fairly blank during the working hours, that's the one feature that was really nice from the old version.

otherwise, terrific rebuild

Underneath your user control panel, in the display options, you can disable seeing many of those things. Since the youtube and tweets are not stock items, though, I don't know if they can be disabled.

there isn't. brandon already asked.

you'd think that option would be out there (just a work safe mode in general) though.

I actually just specifically asked the author of the extension on the Phpbb message board if he'd consider adding that option. He gave me a flat no.

Finally got my computer back and am seeing the new site for the first time. I like the layout much better on the desktop

Any way to disable the pop up messages when you, for example, click "Mark Topics Read"

Don't know about disabling it, but it's easy to dismiss. Just click again anywhere outside that popup.

[mod=Tim]View Active Topics now available at bottom of the page![/mod]

But only when you're viewing a thread. Click on the "wrench" at the bottom of the page to access the option.

That's pretty nice for both desktop and mobile view. Much appreciated!

Sorry if this has been brought up before, but on my tablet it shows who posted last in a thread, but not who started it. This caused me to click on a sontensei thread :(

Any way to change that?

Huh, on the phone it posts who started a thread instead of who posted last, and it's weird.

It shows who started the thread on the similar topics list, but on the main board it only shows who posted last

Are you using a different board style? The new default style shows the thread starter on the left and the latest poster on the right.

It looks normal for me now, so who knows. Maybe it was my work computer, or someone fixed it.

Why am I still seeing that weird O instead of an apostrophe in quotes?

Am I the only one seeing them?

Must be. I have no idea what you're talking about. Can you take a screenshot?

In the mobile version, is there a button to PM someone from a post? I only see the buttons for quote and report

Doesn't look like it. If you click on the user's username though, their profile page has a link to send them a PM, even on mobile.
