Ventura was quick-pitching Eaton, who yacked first. Harold Reynolds pointed this out last night.

Lot's of drama so far in this young season. I kinda like it.

Shark does seem like an idiot.

Ventura is a loon. After he drilled Lawrie in the A's series, he was jawing and walking toward him. Lawrie would [expletive] murder most guys in the league in a fight, never mind a scrawny little [expletive] like Ventura.

Chris Sale versus Ventura would be a fun match in the Kate Moss weight class, though.

I imagine it will be his own teammates who end up putting him in check. I'd guess that if he keeps this up, they'll get sick of protecting him. And I have root for the Royals, because they're standing between the Sox and possible contention.

Get the White Sox hate out of here.

[expletive] the Royals. They'll come down to earth.

Bruce Levine reported on the Score at lunch time that Sale went to the Royals clubhouse via the underground pathway after the ejection banging on the door and cussing. however he couldnt get in.. lol baseball fights are stupid.

Didn't realize the history behind this.

On opening day, Shark hit Lorenzo Cain right after Moustakas hit a HR off him. Then in the 6th today, Sale hit Moustakas in the shoulder (the ball deflected and hit in him the face), then threw another pitch way inside on Cain.

Still doesn't explain the Trout one, but that's two that can be chalked up to retaliation.

Sale hit Moustakas with a change up and the pitch to Cain was shin high. And, Ventura had hit Abreu first anyways. I think the only one by any of the Royals pitchers you can really chalk up to retaliation is hitting Lawrie the first time, and that was for hard, but clean slide.

They're being dumbasses.

HAHAHAHAH hawk is such an idiot. *yost calms sale down* "IF HE WAS TRYNA PROVOKE SALE HE OUGHTA HAVE HIS BEEEEHIND BEAT"

i would love for somebody to just go up to the booth and cold [expletive] hawk right in the face. i think we'd all chip in for the fine and bail money.

Bah, Big Z could out-crazy every last one of them with one hand tied behind his back. With his belt.

Wait, is he using his belt to out crazy them or is his belt tieing his hand behind his back?

I would pay an exorbitant sum just to be able to sit adjacent to him and be allowed to mock/heckle him mercilessly.

No way could I listen to Hawk for 162 games a year even if I was a White Sox fan. Stacey King drives me [expletive] crazy and he's not even 1/4 as bad.

I don't watch the NBA much, so I can't speak to that. But what I really can't stand are blatant homers, especially blatant homers who just aren't very good. Guys like Hawk, Al Hrabosky and even late career Harry Caray fall into this group. Guys whose place should be hidden on local radio (as Santo was).

I know many people will disagree with me, but I think guys with as much "visibility" as major market TV broadcasters should maintain at least a modicum of professionalism (especially in this day and age, when just about every TV team is heard on national broadcasts at least occasionally). Of course, Hawk is the the absolute worst of the worst. Be appropriately biased, but attempt to keep it somewhat in check and display at least a shred of objectivity.

Santo can't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Hawk. Santo wanted the Cubs to win, but he never blamed the other team for being good and always credited a good play.

With Hawk, everything good the Sox do is expected; everything the other team does well is luck. It's childish.

I've been to multiple minor league and college games where the PA announcer does Hawk's "he gone" thing. What childhood trauma could cause someone to be the type of person who thinks that is cool?

The worst part about Bulls broadcasts is there is no counterbalance. Steve Stone is an arrogant prick, but at least he can be unbiased at times. Neil Funk is even worse than King. King is a clown trying desperately to spawn catchphrases, but Neil Funk is an incontinent old man blaming Obama for everything wrong in his life.

I messaged the guy in my fantasy league that had Addison Russell and asked him what he wanted for him. He said Ventura, and I did it. To a non-Cubs fan, that might not seem like the best move, but I'm ok with it.

Ventura was my worst starter since I am stacked with pitching, and I badly needed an infielder. Also, I figure Ventura is at least a remote suspension/injury liability. And, I mean... Addison Russell.

I personally love Funk and King and think that they make a great team.

Go Bulls.
