Jeffry Antigua actually got the start for Iowa. He didn't fare very well, though.

Rivero fared a bit better today, still walked one and gave up a hit, but did get a k and didn't give up any runs.

Can someone help remind me about Michael Wagner?

Vogelwalk in his first PA.

That K:BB ratio is up to 3:9

That's what it looks like when a light bulb goes on. dang.

Make that 3:10. Add a double for Schwarber.

I hope Theo is calling teams everyday about Vogelbach to get a SP/RP telling them what a phenomenal hitter he is but we have no room for him.

I wonder how long they'll leave Vogey at AA with him performing like this.

I wonder the same thing, maybe let him stay there so the numbers play up and hopefully a team bites on him at the deadline for something somewhat decent/significant?

Good night so far from our remaining relevant prospects;

Schwarber with a 2B

Vog wit 2 BB

Torres 2-2

McKinney 1-3

Burks 2 BB

Almora walked.

As long as they need to. He could be Babe Ruth, he's still got no place on the major league roster. No need to rush him. Let him crush AA and build up his trade value. We're gonna need it.

Is Eloy anywhere?

Extended spring training.

Got it, thanks. Probably starts at Eugene in June then, with best case scenario a week or 2 at then end of the year in South Bend if he does well?

Actually, the best case scenario is doing well in Mesa and getting bumped to South Bend in May (when McKinney gets promoted and sets off a domino at lower levels).

Man, Schwarber and Vogelbach are not kidding around.

(Schwarber just hit a HR)

Here's how good Vogelbach's start is. If he puts up an .800 OPS the rest of the year and has a similar number of PAs as previous seasons, he'll finish with an .850 OPS.

I hope Theo is texting this to GM's across the league every night. "Look at this, we have another Bryant but unfortunately he's blocked by Rizzo. Got any RP's?"

How about a starter that can go more than five innings?

He was Bryant's teammate at SDSU, if I'm not mistaken. Was considered a nice get in the 11-12th round area where we took him. Was a top 200 prospect or so. I don't think he's anything more than a fill in at Iowa right now, to my recollection he's done nothing since being drafted to put him on anyone's radar.
