If BR is to be believed, tonight was his second start at DH. In the other he was 0 for 2 with 2 BB and 2 Ks. He's also 0 for 2 with 2 Ks as a pinch hitter.

Wouldn't we be looking at a pretty small sample at this point, like 5-6 games at each spot at most? Though over the course of the year, yes I am definitely interested.

Willson Contreras isn't going to keep this up ... but he's off to another solid start and he's only 22. I'd be curious to hear how his defense has looked.

 

If Jensen's got his old power stuff back, wouldn't mind seeing him get bumped up to AAA. Was a fascinating arm out of the draft with that plus fastball/plus breaking ball.

I wonder how long they'll leave Vogey at AA with him performing like this.

Hopefully a long freaking time to boost his trade value. He still has a lot to prove.

This may sound stupid to some, but unless we clearly win the trade I'd hold on to Vogelbach for as long as we can. The way Rizzo crowds the plate and gets plunked every other game, Id rather have Vogelbach as a theoretical backup than Olt or Valaika or whoever over the next couple seasons. Keep him down and let him develop a bit a la Ryan Howard when he was blocked by Thome.
