WHERE DO YOU FIND THIS STUFF?

He's a machine the forum built around 2006.

All seriousness aside...... I took the game logs from RetroSheet (which are in text format), copied/pasted to a database one year at a time. Now I can put in whatever parameters I want and search the hell out it.

It's one way to pass the time on those cold lonely off-season nights, eh?

There are many Guy jokes on Twitter that have slowly creeped into Cubs Twitter this season. There's pretty much no rhyme or reason to them but they exist and I enjoy them.

The feeling I get when I look at that lineup each day is so awesome, as well as a sign that I probably care way too much about this team.

Shark blowing up and Hawks bitching about SABR. Awesome.

Shouldn't blowing up include giving up a run?

He had the bases loaded with 1 out, I felt confidant going ahead and making an assumption there, being Shark and all.

Is Samardzija more prone to giving up runs than others when he has the bases loaded with 1 out?

Long time lurker... first time poster! Go Cubbies!

P.S. I'm loving these 6:05 starts. Especially with the Hawks games being later.
