With today's win this is the Cubs 3rd day above .500 since the beginning of the 2010 season

I see sixth. In 2013 they were 1-0 and 2-1 and in 2011 they were 3-2, 4-3 and 9-8.

Haven't been 2 games over .500 since the end of the 2009 season.

Blergh, B-R's "Most Games Over .500" probably means how many games have they spent over .500, not how many times were they actually reached over .500. According to that statistic, my statement is right, but yeah they've been over .500 more than that.

Six times over .500 in 5 years is still dog [expletive], though.

and all it took to get him was a waiver claim we reformed and the sweetener of the hilarious Russell/McKinney heist

I still can't believe we won. I woke up thinking that we lost yesterday.

Fun stuff when you sort of resign yourself to the Cubs losing and then they all the suddenly come back and win. It feels awesome and dirty.

Cubs notes:Before Fowler’s HR, last time Cubs won a game in which they were trailing with 2 outs and down to last strike was 9/21/12 vs. STL

Barney hit two-run game-tying HR on 1-2 count in 9th, Cubs won 5-4 11 in.
