I'm not one to bitch about modernizing and monetizing Wrigley, but no Len, the giant scoreboard does not make the place more intimate.

have you been there?

i kinda see where he's coming from

Explain this.

Yeah, I'm curious about this too. I'm ok with the board because we're a pro team and revenue is part of the deal, but I don't see how it makes Wrigley 'more intimate'.

It's so [expletive] huge it makes the rest of the park seem small by comparison.

Not until we lose, which won't be for a long time.

You guys probably don't care, but I just did a simple model on the sac bunt with the 5th hitter... Essentially, if you're playing for 1 run only, it's still 25% better to not bunt in that situation. Granted, that's not taking into account the conditions for today, which may have significantly reduced the chance of anyone getting a hit... but that only makes it a wash.

It worked out fine today, but that doesn't mean it was a good decision.

If it were the 8 or 9 hitter, with today's conditions... then I would get behind it, but if we can't expect our 5 and 6 guys to get hits, we need better 5 and 6 guys.

Calculating it to be 25% better to not bunt in the situation is severely overestimating the run environment, especially at the stadium today.

dude is awful in the outfield but in watching him since last year, as a hitter, he always seems to put together good ABs and seems to hit the ball hard pretty consistently. not saying he is good or bad, as I'm not sure, but I don't get the supreme hate.

It's like nuking the whales. Gotta hate somebody, and the 3b spot isn't stable enough to hate any one person.

You can't process why people are down on a guy who sucked hard for 4 seasons prior to last year, while lusting after a gigantic video screen.

ROBOTS, MAN. You guys are weird.
