I saw some pics on Twitter earlier in the day. And yeah, there were boxing gloves too. But it looked like it could have been strippers boxing or something.

in his lost 30 games in 118 at-bats, Bryant is hitting .328/.380/.622

Kris Bryant is a herculean demi-god that has deigned to destroy baseballs for the Chicago Cubs, and it is a beautiful thing

I am a sucker for 'famous person talks to people on the street who don't realize they're famous' bits, that was great.

how much ever money Bryant will miss out on from having his free agency delayed, he has already made at least triple that in endorsements

Bryant is now 4th in the NL in fWAR among hitters, trailing only Harper, Votto, and Goldschmidt. He's 6th overall since he trails Kershaw and Arrieta.

Related note: Cubs have 3 of the top 11 players in the NL by fWAR.

I'm only seeing 2 of the top 20, with Fowler being #21 and Coghlan #25.

Maybe it changed since last night?

I'm pretty sure he's including hitters and pitchers.

It's crazy how good he is already. Just curious how you guys think Bryant will improve as he matures in the league? I expect he'll hit more dongs, but in what other areas do you think he'll get better?

Nothing really besides more dongs

the baserunning and defense will get worse, so hopefully he makes a little more contact. He probably is who he will be for the most part.

He will run and field that way well into his 50s.

we'll need to field a replacement by 2045 or so, i thought this front office was supposed to be forward-thinking????

i think the "bet on it" prediction is that he largely stays the same in terms of the sum of his contributions; pitch selection improves marginally while other aspects regress marginally, that sort of thing. well, actually, maybe the safe bet is that injuries derail his career, since physical health is the great equalizer in this sport. he could also go HAM and be one of those guys that gets excluded from data sets because his productivity skews it. let's hope for that while still being pleased with a 6 WAR player for a few seasons
