Also for discussion:

- Notre Dame and UNC could be in line for bump ups after yesterday's performances.

- Right now, we have seeds 1-7, and seeds 13-16 ranked, so only the mediocre middle is left. If anyone thinks a valid team is missing from the lists today, let us know.

EDIT: Added UConn.

54. California-Santa Barbara (Big West)

As you posted on the last page, UCSB is out. It's either Hawaii or UC Irvine.

uni will not/should not be ahead of iowa st. iowa st has 12 top 50 wins, uni has 3.

hopefully iowa st shakes out to be the best of the b12 blob of ou/baylor/iowa st, which I think will ensure them a 3. yesterday definitely helped

Any chance an ISU win today bumps them to 2 and KU to 3?

Posted

doubt it. KU's rpi numbers and schedule are too good to drop them all the way to a 3. if they somehow get knocked down to a 3, I doubt it will be iowa st jumping them.

I think iowa st has a better chance of dropping to a 4 than KU does of dropping to a 3.

Harvard beats Yale to win the Ivy league. I see the two as interchangeable, so I don't see that spot moving.

Wyoming leads San Diego State at the half in the MWC final. If that holds up, that would steal a bid.

UConn beat Tulsa, and will play SMU in the AAC final tomorrow.

Take Tulsa out of the field now.

Tulsa was never in the field, so that should be easy.

Also, I realize we can make argument for Iowa St. as a 3. Do they replace No. Iowa?

iowa st is closer to a 2 than they are to a 4, that's for damn sure.

Wyoming steals an at-large bid, Buffalo and SFA win to preserve their bids.

Only potential bid thief tomorrow is UConn.

Georgia something will win the Sun Belt too late to be relevant.

Hard to have 12 top 50 wins when you don't play 12 top 50 teams.

Lol Big 12. Took care of that [expletive] in 2010. This squad is even better.

I just pray to god we're in your bracket.

Big 12 is the most overrated conference in my opinion. I think Northern Iowa is a better team than Iowa St but chances are they will be seated lower than them.

And this is why nobody gets to discuss the merits of their own team in this committee, and their own conference in the real committee.

If there's anything I care less about than Iowa and Iowas St. basketball, it's UNI basketball

Naturally. I wouldn't expect anyone to care about a mid-major other than the fans of said team.
