From "great" source Fox is front-runner for Bears job but it is not a done deal yet. Pace still trying to be sure.

Sulley gets his wish and Cardale Jones will enter the NFL Draft.

Conflicting reports on twitter, but most say he'll leave. Official announcement not till 4:00.

I'd mich rather have Ray than Collins. From everything I have read (and some stuff I have actually watched), Collins is an in the box safety who can't cover anyone decent. That's scary.

@RapSheet

I may be crazy (possible) but I continue to hear the same refrain about #Bears GM Ryan Pace. He's being very deliberate. Taking his time.

Not sure why he included the "I may be crazy" bit.

Cooper would be hard for me to pass up if he's there.

The thing that would make me pause is its supposed to be another good WR class.

If he is there, there could be a trade market for him. A trade down could be enticing if there is a market.

Are the Bears bad enough everywhere that they just take BPA regardless of position? What positions should they absolutely NOT draft in the first round?

BPA all the way.

That said, at 7, certain positions have no chance of having the BPA such as TE or OG. If Cooper isn't there I don't think WR will be. If Mariota or Winston aren't there, QB won't. So most likely at 7 I think a BPA will be defense or OT which fit in nicely with our biggest needs. But I also want nothing to do with Collins, so I'd scratch S off too.

I think that was one of the few things Pace actually said at his press conference (or maybe it was radio interviews afterward)... That it's always BPA (with need only coming into play if it's close/tiebreaker situation).

If they stay in a 4-3 and re-sign Paea, I'd say DT should be off the table.

@JasonLaCanfora

Gary Kubiak will meet with Broncos for their head coaching opening. Interview expected this weekend. Suffice to say Elway very interested.

[expletive] you, Kubiak.

The Ravens have nothing to be pissed about. He's already turned down other options and they have another personnel guy turning down offers.

Ratliff is old. Paea has had one healthy, productive season. The other two showed flashes but are still largely unproven.

That being said Williams is probably the only DT who would be worthy of a top ten pick anyways. And he won't slip. But in bizarro world where he did I wouldn't hesitate.
