I think it says a lot about what they think of Carey, and Rodgers on a one-year deal isn't guaranteed a roster spot. I probably would have looked for defensive backfield help here, but doing that in the 5th and/or 6th is fine also.

I know Forte is aging, but I don't think I like the RB pick there. We already have Jacquizz and Carey on the roster. That's one of the few positions I wouldn't have used a pick this year.

I wanted a RB in this draft, just not the one they selected...

I don't understand the opposition to RB. This is Forte's last year.

I'd like Michael Bennett or Anthony Harris here.

Or that I'm fine with

FS Adrian Amos. Penn State.

He doesn't seem very happy.

Mel and company are high on Amos so hopefully that's a good sign.

they've liked literally every pick in the draft (and so have the NFL Network guys)

I know it doesn't mean much but this is the part of the draft where I don't know any of these guys so it's all I got to go on.

I really like the Bears' draft so far. When their next pick comes around there will very likely be a great value to be had at corner, tackle or linebacker.

Forte is gone after this season (free agent) and clearly the new regime doesn't like Carey.

I have no problem with drafting a potential Forte successor, it just wasn't the guy I wanted. But Langford sounds like a Fox running back.

I don't know if you can say the new FO clearly doesn't like Carey. I just think he, like Langford are both RB by Committee guys. So even if they like him, you were never going to make him the sole Forte successor.
