Week 11: Vikings (4-5) @ Bears (suck), Noon CBS/780

The Bears franchise is so [expletive] stupid. Again, business as usual with no staff changes. Wow.

Nobody should be surprised by this. Annoyed? I guess. But surprised? No.

No kidding. I don't understand how anyone could think any firings right now would do anything besides just making meatballs feel better.

I would be fine with being treated like a meatball that needs some soothing.

What would actually be soothed? You're just going to slide a placeholder from the same incompetent system into the job. It's not like they'd hire anyone worth a damn halfway through the season.

Not really. Pasqualoni was a good pro D coordinator during his career, sent a bunch of good defensive prospects to the NFL from 'Cuse, and could be kept on if he performs well.

This team is going to hire Schiano this offseason aren't they?

There's got to be a misunderstood genius from NFL Europe who was never given his rightful shot.

lol.

The silver lining is by keeping all the coaches in place, we're a shoe-in for a top 5 pick.

Marshall also says Marc Trestman is the best coach he's ever played for. Says the best formula moving forward is with Trestman.

B&B are making this wayyyyy more entertaining than it has any right to be.

Yes. This.

Are they on the Score? I might bite the bullet and listen to sports talk.

If Emery was actually keeping these guys here in an intentional tanking situation, I would actually be more impressed with his diabolical manner.

Bowen knows Trestman has no business with this job.

this is the only time I listen to this stuff, when the Bears have a press conference.

Potential HC's (obviously not all of them, but to make it easy):

Quinn (Seattle)

Roman (San Fran)

Gase (Denver)

Horton (Cleveland)

Bowles (Arizona)

Your preference?

I'd roll the dice on Gase. He'd need a strong DC, but I love his pedigree coaching under McCoy and Fox.

Quinn or Bowles.

Bowen calls out full week off during bye week.

Calls NFL practice essentially a walk through.

Right.

The Trestman 'watching the practice video' crap is insulting to everybody.

Thanks. I listened to the Trestman conference but on ESPN 1000. Switched to hear Bowen who, as you said, is ripping Trestman to shreds.

Yes...and B&B yell and scream over the press conference, which is annoying at times, unless it's a day like today when you're wanting to yell and scream at Trestman yourself. Then it's cathartic.

Trestman on run balance: Completions for first downs to Morgan and Jeffery on the opening drives were called runs, checked to passes.

when are you going to take away Cutler's ability to check out of runs?

bernstein talking about not knowing who is running the Bears.

I really don't get this quasi intellectual nonsense.

Heh, yeah...he's good at that.

Bernsie is 50% quasi intellectual nonsense, 45% Jay Mariotti style trolling, and 5% giggling.
