I keep thinking an EJax for Maybin trade makes too much sense. Both need a change of scenery. Both have similar money left on their contract. Jackson gives the Padres an innings eater who could benefit from playing in a pitchers' park and Maybin plays good defense in CF and is a nice rebound candidate. Thoughts?

Rasmus would be wise to take 1 year. Even if he winds up somewhere in the middle of his 2014 and 2013 seasons it should be enough to warrant a multi year deal the next season

After looking over his numbers, I kinda really want Fowler. Make him the CF move Alcantara to LF/super sub and use Coghlan/Ruggiano as 4/5 OF.

Looks like the Cubs are only interested in 1 year deals at this point. Seems they don't want to commit longterm until they get a better grasp of the attrition rate of the kids and what positions they eventually end up at.
