Melo is a million times better. But I'm glad we missed out on melo at this poit because Gasol is a badass and we have a bunch of cap flexibility we otherwise wouldn't with melo.

He's playing better now but he also has a fairly established record of crappy offensive play for me to forget about completely. If he keeps up the scoring or even regresses just a little I think he'll probably outproduce Melo over the next 5 years.

Anyone on the Bulls out for tonight's game?

Noah was already ruled out I believe I heard. Not sure about McDermott but he's missed at least 2 weeks already.

This is what happens when Rose attacks the basket - he gets respect for that midrange jumper, which he can hit with consistency. This is easily the best he's looked all year.

Rose is like a year and a half older than Lillard. They were acting like Rose is in a different generation.

This bulls team is ridiculously deep with talent right now.

They need to get their defensive swagger back though. It's just not there.

They can try hard on defense in the playoffs.

That was one of the best played regular season games I've watched in the last few years. Superstar players (and Brooks) playing at a very high level and going punch for punch. Mirotic was big in that second quarter too. He's going to be a hell of a player.

I told all you punks to stop freaking out about DRose weeks ago. Let's just hope he can continue to stay healthy. I really like how Thibs is managing his minutes. Plays a set 7-8 minute stretch each quarter.

Two straight games now where D-Rose has been making old D-Rose type plays. Just stay healthy please.

Old DRose would have been cupping the ball, head down while he drives into traffic and draws contact in the lane. He is protecting his body much better and using that floater more efficiently than he ever has before. It is really encouraging to see. Loved the Brooks/Rose show in the 4th quarter

It sounds funny to say when the three bigs have all missed time, but the Bulls have a real problem unless they trade one of them: they need Mirotic to get serious minutes, and Thibs will absolutely bury him in the playoffs especially when all the bigs are active. Mirotic gives this team so many elements it lacks - he stretches the defense from the 4, he outruns opposing bigs every trip, he can create his own shot. And once he settles down on defense (it's already happening) he'll be the Bulls' best option to guard stretch 4s.

Mirotic is a lot stronger on the boards than i expected. Hes really a good player.

Its hard to be believe that 6 months ago in the our last playoff series DJ Augustin was our primary scoring option.

Didn't realize until they mentioned it on the ESPN broadcast last night, but Bulls are up to #2 in defensive rebounding. Remember early in the season when it was a big problem (Tristan Thompson)? Like the rebounding, I'm sure the defense will come around. Hopefully the offense remains great.

EDIT: I looked up our defensive rebounding rate and it was 15th. Not sure what stat ESPN is using to proclaim were 2nd. Either way, it's been a massive improvement over the first few weeks of the season. Were 9th in offensive efficiency and 10th in defensive efficiency.

This is just.......I don't even know. Why would you get rid of one of them? There's a ton of different ways to use them all depending on match ups and on top of that, you've got guys in Noah and Gibson who go so hard every time out there that they get banged up and need rest. It would be asinine to get rid of one of them, especially right now.
