Lebron looks silly there but we know he's a great defender and we know everybody else on that team isn't. It's probably hard for him to be expecting quality team defense and this is hat he gets. Look at everybody else in tht gif. Love is parked in the low block and makes no attempt to step up when Aldridge penetrates forcing the guy on Wes to close out. Kyrie and Love are just standing there next to each other. Irving especially looks clueless. Lebron is not trying in that play. But the other 4 guys are trying and looks really really bad.

 

Blatt and Trestman. Don't hire coaches who are coaching 5 talent levels below your league.

This consolidation of things I hate Knicks/New Yorkers/Phil Jackson/Fisher is working out great right now. They are gonna lose 50 games. I didn't think they would suck this bad.

Jesus, Eric Gordon kind of sucks bad now. Is this just knee injuries and he will recover, or is he about done?

Yes, no and yes. He has no quickness left and his jumper isn't as reliable. The Pels practically tried to give him away for the last 2 years with no success. He is a mediocre 6th man at best these days. I was encouraged to see him with some assists tonight and get involved a bit.

I think Phil wants them to suck. High draft pick + cap space is their quickest way to relevancy

LA is never more awesome than when the Lakers are a steaming pile of [expletive]. I hope this lasts a long time.

I don't think so I think Phil has no clue how to build a roster. He's good at winning with teams that are supposed to win. They went out and got Dalembert and Calderon. Those aren't tank moves. Those are solid vet fillers to pair with Melo. They put out a team you'd expect to win 45 games but with the injury to caldron causing Shane Larkin (a guy they declined I extend) 40mpg combined with their inability to win close games vs bad teams has resulted in this hilariously bad start. They aren't ranking. They have a guy who has never made personel moves at gm and a guy who has never coached coaching. They aren't doing it on purpose they just suck.

 

The knicks have one hope and it's that some superstar wants to resurrect the franchise.

If they can suck into a top pick and get one of the top 3 (Mudiay, Okafor, Towns) to add to Melo and sign Marc Gasol they will be back to NBA relevancy again.

O/U 19.5 combined wins for the Lakers and Sixers when they meet for the first time in late March (65ish games in)? It will probably be a narrow over but I can't imagine it would be much more than that.

I was supposed to go to Vegas right before the season started, but had some stuff come up that pushed it back to the end of this month. I'm pissed I couldn't get out there to put a ton of money on the Lakers under when it was in the low 30s (want to say it was 32 or 33) at the time.

Great cover story on Anthony Davis in this week's SI. The hyperbole is off the charts.

He is the invention of a God who already built Kevin Durant and decided to get more creative.

Lowe with an article today saying the NBA is looking to extend the season 10 days to get rid of a few back-to-backs for each team along with either shortening pre-season and/or allowing for more "organized offseason activity" like the NFL. Right now they are pretty strict with players/coaches getting together in the offseason.
