I'll go ahead and commit (minor) heresy right now...

Could we not only trade Crow's contract but get back something decent right now?

Yes. We could probably get a lot for Hjarlmarsson too.

Yes, but losing Hammer would hurt the defense a LOT. Convince me that Crawford is better than Raanta and Darling straight up.

Now convince me that he's better than those guys plus the return we could get for him and what we could spend his salary on.

If you aren't convinced after that series, you won't ever be. And that's OK.

And as always, one of the best parts is seeing all the other fans' forums reacting. Tampa Bay fans are doing the usual " we'll be back" routine that every losing team does. Anaheim fans feel like we did last year. Minnesota fans are still salty as heck against us. Vancouver fans are nostalgic for when our rivalry with them was still in doubt.

He's gave up 3 goals in four wins in the Stanley Cup Finals against the league's top scoring team. If you aren't convinced/satisfied, you never will be.

raanta and darling probably both suck

They both saw significant ice time. They both had significantly better save percentages than Crawford.

Crawford had a great playoffs (after Nashville). I loved it. He's still an average to slightly above average goalie.

Or maybe I'm just mad because I had too much to do tonight to get drunk and celebrate properly.

tiny sample size of one statistic that doesn't even really tell you anything on it's own

Well, the only thing people have said in favor of Crawford so far is, "Didn't you watch those three games?"

How much do you think an average NHL starting goalie makes right now? Because Crawford's not that far off his peers.

haha, i thought about this too

Love Crow, but yeah, he's a two time cup winning goalie. His price tag would be pretty fantastic.

Where was the Ben Bishop glove hand meme?

These are the glory days, enjoy every second of them. May we do that for a long time to come.

I started a new thread to discuss dismantling the roster/ capocalypse II: The wrath of Saad/ doom boner fest.

I intend to go check in on a lot of forums today, but did you get a peek at the Preds forums? I imagine they have to be pretty grouchy too.

Also, Saad may be important, but he's not necessarily a core guy.

When does Hossa retire? He hasnt declined significantly yet.

Preds Fan:

At least we gave the Blackhawks a little scare and took it into overtime. Think we had the best/more entertaining series against them at least. Oh well. Lightening just had so much difficulty scoring kind of like the Preds prior to this year/season.
