How many drops did Atlanta end up with yesterday?

6.

Not just #80, the whole team.

I still can't believe the Bears won that game without even getting to 28 points.

The TE had 3, Jones had 2, White had one...

Most impressed I've been in the defense in a long time. Held them under 300 yards. Neutralized two pretty good receivers. Neutralized Atlanta's rushing attack. Got solid pressure.

Hit like hell in the defensive backfield. Got to believe that helped produce some of those drops.

Cutler with a ton of yards. Dual threat receiving. Forte picking up TDs, and 10 catches opening things up downfield.

Nothing to complain about. Solid road win, complete game from everyone. Makes me feel better about this team. Much, much better.

As somebody said at the end of last week, this game just makes me more upset about them blowing a couple they should have won.

Matt Spiegel is suggesting this morning that we have Sharpton continue to make the defensive calls, and let Briggs just worry about his own assignment. I think that's potentially a very good idea.

@adamjahns: Source: #Bears safety Chris Conte has a sprained right shoulder. Previously sprained his left. Has MRI coming.

Man...there's nothing quite like a safety that's frequently concussed and with two bad shoulders. Can't beat it.

He's played really well though. Seems like a good time to get him a couple weeks off. Can't keep letting him go out there and get hurt every week. Give him thru the bye week to heal up.

If he can keep toughing it out and its not effecting his play enough to be worse than Vareen, I put him out there the next 2 weeks. I think we especially could use him against NE and the GB after the bye.

So did Sharpton jump DJ Williams on the depth chart or does he have a multiple week injury?

Sharpton seemed to be a lot better out there, but I'm not remotely an expert on that kind of thing. I just know that I saw him a lot more than I ever see Williams.

I think we had more injuries to deal with before though. Stay healthy, especially on the D Line, and we should see better results moving forward.

Does this game make you think it's time to move on from Briggs, maybe McClellin too? I felt like we were getting decent play from our LB depth.

Amazing play. Would have been another 0 point drive due to time management. Mills completely whiffed a block on a play where he could do anything but whiff a block and give up a sack. A holding call and it's still a very makeable FG.

At least from Briggs and Williams. McClellin was playing decent before he got hurt, so I don't think they should pull the plug there quite yet.

Of course since that's not really an option until after the season, for now I'd like to see both Sharpton and Greene rotated in when the old guys come back. At this point in their careers both Briggs/Williams could use plays off.

just had to note that there were several holding calls on the Falcons after Cutler hit him in the nuts.

There's no way Trestman is benching Briggs because some unproven player has a good game against a bad run offense

Did someone say to bench Briggs? I feel like giving him a few plays off wouldn't be considered benching.

Sharpton and Greene both have several career starts, it's not like these are practice squad rookies. They're younger, faster players who at the very least should push the starters.

Soul said "maybe it's time to move on from Briggs." Just responding to that. Didn't know if he meant this year or next year,

I think Sharpton over DJ Williams is worth considering, but nobody's benching Briggs.

DJ Williams has been invisible this season. Hopefully the coaching staff notices as well.
