So with Florida State/ND and Miss/Miss State on the schedule, there is guaranteed to be a 1 loss team in the playoff.

That said if the Mississippi teams go into their game undefeated, I'm assuming they will both be in regardless, unless the winner loses in the SEC title game

If both Mississippi teams were undefeated, they're both in regardless of what happens from there.

Also, I would like OMC to somehow live stream the entire day in Oxford if that happens.

The only way it doesn't happen is if Georgia wins out including the SEC title game. Then you'd have three one-loss SEC schools and unless everyone else has two losses, I can't see them going with three SEC schools. Not with Notre Dame and FSU potentially only having one loss combined.

I think I'd leave out Georgia in that scenario.

Well that would be odd considering they would have just beaten the team on a neutral field. In that scenario georgia gets in, but i doubt georgia is good enough to pull this off.

Also Miss St still has to beat Bama at Bama. It is far more likely neither mississippi school gets in than both get in.

It would also be really stupid if a team lost their conference championship game and got into the playoff unless the team that wins the conference is #1.

I hate to even say it, but Ole Miss has the better shot at undefeated or being a 1 loss team than Miss St. They still have to play at Bama and at Ole Miss. Our road games are very winnable at LSU and Arkansas.

So reward Big XII teams who don't have to play an extra game against a top team at the end of the year?

Well all 3 schools would have beaten Auburn in this scenario. They're irrelevant to the equation. I'd take the top 6 in the West over every non-Georgia school, so the Mississippi schools would have win over 2-6 and 3-6 respectively. I don't think Clemson is enough to make up for that.

Right, the point isn't that beating Auburn was novel, but that the schedules are then closer at the high end. At that point if you're giving the edge to the Missisippi schools because they beat aTm/LSU instead of Mizzou/Florida, I don't think that's super compelling, especially when you add in the depth of Georgia's non-con(Clemson/GT) to either Missisippi school(UAB? Boise? Memphis?).

EDIT: Maybe the better way of couching it is this way. I don't see the reason not to favor Georgia over the Egg Bowl loser. Georgia would have wins over the Egg Bowl winner and Auburn, a weaker East slate, and a stronger non-con. Egg Bowl loser would have wins over Auburn and 9-3(at best) Bama, a stronger West slate, and a weaker non-con.

Davaris Daniels kicked out of Notre Dame. Not exactly surprising. With Russell and Daniels gone, nobody will really care about what happens to the other 3.

Russell plans to come back next year, Ishaq Williams does too, and Kendall Moore was out of eligibility anyway. None will be back this season. I'm guessing we'll never actually find out what sort of cheating they did, though I suppose it doesn't matter.

Both Daniels and Russell could be drafted this spring if they wants to go that route.

That sounds like the route Daniels is taking, though a late-round flier is probably the best he can hope for. Talk around Russell was that he was the type of kid that would value graduating, which made it a head-scratcher that he got himself involved in this to begin with.

1. Miss St

2. University of Mississippi

3. Florida State

4. Baylor

5. Notre Dame

6. Auburn

7. TCU

8. Oregon

9. Alabama

10. OK State

Oklahoma St. is not good. They struggled against a bad Texas Tech team, struggled against a worse ISU, and barely beat an even worse KU team. I know they played FSU close in the first game of the season, but their backup QB is now the full time QB, and they're about to start playing real teams now. I wouldn't be surprised if they closed the season 1-5, with their only win coming at home vs WVU.

yeah, you can put okie st there for now if you want I guess, but there's no way they're anywhere close to that by the end of the season. wasn't impressed by them at all.
