Then let's argue that these losses aren't on Trestman. Who hired the defensive and special teams coordinators? That would be Trestman and he certainly bears his fair share of the blame. Trestman is a good OC, but he's a below average head coach.

who are you arguing with?

Him

Emery found a diamond-in-the-rough in Trestman didn't he

I'm not a Bears fan but Trestman is a quality coach. Losses aren't on him.

Jay threw one bad pass today - the overthrow to Holmes.

His first half interception was a good decision and a decent throw that drew blatant PI that was not called. At the point of catching the ball, it was 1-1 coverage of Marshall by a linebacker.

It's hard to blame Jay for the boneheaded special teams play, the Forte fumble, the missed chip shot field goal or the inability of the defense to stop a hobbled offense.

Cutler threw that 1 bad pass with favorable field position and a chance to ice the game. The Bears would have overcome the special teams play, missed FG, and Forte's fumble would probably have not happened in a protect the lead situation rather than trying to win the game with a score. This loss isn't on Jay completely, but his mistakes are very untimely.

Just can't put together a whole game on either side of the ball. You'll get some good play at times, then someone blows it on O or the D can't get a stop for 15 minutes.

Whatever it is, it's always something.

Just quit saying Cutler threw into triple coverage on his first INT. There was only 1 guy covering him and he had his back to Jay. It's not even close to triple coverage. Yes both S were closing in, but that was after the ball was in the air and didn't even affect Marshall or the pass. Almost every single QB in the NFL would've threw on that play when the defender has their back to him the entire way. That pass was one of like 3 passes all day that Cutler didn't overthrew and they caught a bad break at the end of that play.

Thank you.

It could have been thrown earlier.

It looks underthrown, but that's partially because Marshall is being pushed in the chest by the LB. It's probably a bit short by design to keep the ball away from the safties as Jay depends on Marshall to make an adjustment on the ball.

He's blanketed by one guy with two other DBs within a yard of the reciever when the ball gets there. There was absolutely no margin of error as seen in the result. It was a stupid throw.

Serious question...are you blind?

Yes, he certainly is blanketed by the guy making an illegal play to keep him away from the ball.

Yes, something will always be a reason a team loses.

It was that way even when we beat SF

Yes, there's also always something that leads to a team winning.

Yeah that's a throw that every QB in the league makes. That was blatant PI and it wasn't called maybe because it hit the defender in the head. But blown call. Not a bad throw or bad decision.

That being said, it seems like the "Cutler apologists" are just as bad as the Cutler haters. Hell I'm one of the former. You can say Cutler made 1-2 bad throws/decisions but he needs to make 0. Maybe not 0. But his mistakes need to not end up in the other team's hands. He can miss low to an open man in zone. He can miss on an open deep pass. He can miss high on the sidelines. But he can't keep missing and making poor decions in the middle of the field. Those always get picked. Five of 6 INTs have been bad throws or decisions between the hashes.

I don't see how anyone can think Cutler will change his play at this point in his career.

Everything has to be some kind of melodramatic, miserbalist cliche with you.

I'm concerned about the vertical game. I know Wilson was the speed threat and the injuries at WR but they have to stretch the field more. Carolina and GB played in almost an 8 eight man front until the Bears had to pass and they didn't challenge then deep. Cutler is avg a career low in y/a and that's not going to work for him.

So what? Put me on your ignore list then.

At least I don't troll around like a preening [expletive] tard on a daily basis like you do.
