The shitty thing about the Nats getting to the World Series would be that it would leave the Mariners as the only MLB team to not make the World Series since the Cubs last made it, but whatever.

yeah that's pretty much it. there were multiple superior teams each of the years that the giants won the world series, but they got hot at the right time. now they're up 2-0 in a series where they've won two one-run games - today's game they were down to their last out with nobody on base. brian sabean isn't a very good GM but they've managed to fall into some amazing luck the last 5 years.
