It's really ridiculous. Guys have gotten thrown out for merely touching an ump and he physically shoves him out of the way. To be fair it didn't seem like he was going after the ump, merely just moving him out of the way (it wasn't an intense shove by any means and seemed in the heat of the moment), but that's still no excuse when they have pretty much a zero tolerance for players touching them every other [expletive] time in the history of being touched.
