Lol I was starting to get worried that Soler was cooling off.

He was. 2-14, with both extra base hits and 14% BB rate. But he's done with that now.

Olt needs AB's. He has discipline, I'm not worried about the lack of walks. He's obviously lost upside, but he still can be a nice power bat off the bench possibly. This is his first success at AAA. He's not totally done yet. Nor does what he's doing put a damper what the others are doing. Him hitting a bit is a good thing, not a negative.

they should call up soler in a couple of weeks when baez is striking out half the time and the meatballs are starting to turn on him.

All the words after "Soler" in your post are superfluous.

Soler is a triple shy of the cycle.

Exciting stuff if he's figured something out, like to see a few more of these type outing at Iowa and then a call up.

Who wants to bet everyone forgets about Soler's lack of effort and his bad plate approach when ranking him in the top 10 this off-season?

Maybe Law but everyone else had Soler out of the top 50 and they won't push him that high over two months of baseball.

It probably is just meaningless variance (he couldn't have figured something out this quickly, could he?), but the last two outings for Straily have been, well, excellent...

It is a good thing, but he's been done since last season. He was a long shot when the Cubs got him (which is why they got him). He didn't hit in AAA. Got handed the ML job, and didn't hit. He has the 3 best IF prospects in baseball on his heels, the same IF that has the ML team's 2 best players. And if Bryant and Rizzo are at the corners, there's really no place for him to get ABs, other than pinch hitting and he doesn't put the bat on the ball enough to be counted on in that role.

Anyone know what his velocity's been at?

Been listening to the game. FB was usually 88 when they said the speed of it.

well the good news is that with all our real prospects moving up to the big club, there is plenty of room for olt to get regular playing time in iowa.

Bryant single

Also, has anyone mentioned that Bryant looks like he took a strong hit from a 3 foot glass bong before he took his player profile pic?

Yeah, on the top-ten part, I was kinda joking, but just kinda. If he isn't in people's top 20, though, then I will question their job performance.
