Hopefully they can leave Wada and Hendricks be and put the kibosh on any Beeler/Rusin/Jokisch nonsense.

I think there's a pretty good chance Wada pitches better than Wood these next three months. I like his fastball and change/forkball combo better than Wood's 85 mph cutter and questionable offspeeds.

It makes me sad that this might be true.

Alcantara = spark at at the top of the lineup. Ricky needs to beg Theo not to send him down. Get on your $#%#@$ knees if you have to.

I halfway wonder if Lake or Olt get sent down instead of Alcantara when Barney comes back. Or, quite honestly, a Schierholtz DFA might make the most sense. We're beyond the point of getting anything in a trade for him and no way he comes back next year. If they're trying to trade Barney, they probably want him playing mostly everyday, but if Schierholtz is gone, AA can play center.

But that's probably just me hoping more than anything. Still seems a little odd to call up a good prospect for two games.

Wood's fine; 5.4 fWAR (or 6.3 using RA9) in his last 50 starts will attest

Oh good, the 1st inning strike zone is back

Rizzo's great, but if Starlin would have tried to catch a forceout at 2nd base like Rizzo did at 1st, the "lazy" and "loses focus" narratives would be everywhere (well maybe not everywhere, as it's a noon weekday game and we suck, but you get the idea). Edited by Gilby
