90 pitches after 6. They wouldn't pull him, right?

There's no need to be reckless and let him try and complete the game, but I'd imagine he could go 1 more. Letting him pitch 8 and 9 probably isn't smart though regardless of situation. Assuming he doesn't have like a 10 or less pitch 7th and 8th.

you realize he's throwing a no hitter right?

just making sure because the way you worded it makes it seem like you randomly were wondering if they'll let him throw a complete game or something

Yes I am aware, there's no reason to make him throw 120+ pitches

If I'm in Arrieta's shoes, given the situation, it would take a damn sniper to keep me from walking back to that mound.

Has there been a better 1-2-3 this year than Arrieta-Samardzija-Hammel? Shame there will only be one left next year.

the FO has put together this accidental acery and they never meant to and they refuse to acknowledge that if they scored runs they would be in the race.

I'm pretty sure their rotation leads MLB in WAR and is up near the top in a lot of other categories.

David Cameron ‏@DCameronFG 3m

Over last five starts, Jake Arrieta now has 3 BB and 45 K. Which makes sixth start back even weirder: 3 BB, 2 K against the Mets.
