He hasn't technically signed per the latest cubs press release. Hoyer specifically mentioned they are signing him, so the hangup is hopefully something like delayed physical, travel issues, etc.

His season ended earlier than Schwarber's. They might want to get him up to speed with some in-game action in the AZL first. Who knows what's been going on down in Mesa since the extended spring training season ended a few weeks ago.

Sorry. I caught my error quickly and changed my post but I think he hasn't actually signed. That may make my post read clearer.

 

I still think it's probably just a matter of days until his signing is official.
