I was watching on MLBN and it wasn't really too awful. Trout hit a changeup about 400 ft after fouling off some good FB. Sale shouldn't have even come out for the 8th. He was just shy of 100 pitches and had given up a couple solid hits to end the 7th.

He was surprisingly mostly calm about it. There was silence on the GS, so much so that Stone had to jump in and talk. Hawk did complain about the error by Ramirez a bunch of times (forgetting the Angels had two themselves, one leading to an unearned run). Hawk also made a point of stating that the 6th, and winning run cam after a couple of weak hits. He just refuses to give credit where credit is due. Pretty shameful IMO.

Hanley blew that in the seventh but he's still got the no-no through 8. It would suck to lose a perfect game because of an error. Same thing happened to Jonathan Sanchez a few years ago in his no-no. Only baserunner was an error.

I know it. It sounds crazy, and maybe I'm a homer, but I still feel like Wood doesn't get the credit for that game that he should, mostly because of Kevin Orie and maybe the official scorer (was it Rosenberg then?).
