Did I mention I love Kris Bryant?

He's going to be a monster, A MONSTER!

How long till they promote him to Iowa?

I gotta figure they want him to cut down the K a bit more before he gets promoted.

ya, no.

He's destroying AA pitching, why would they want him to change his approach?

Look as long as he'd playing good defense in CF and OPSing close to .900 why mess with success?

Because he's just like Brett [expletive] Jackson?

Who hit .260 in AA.

In his defense, he put up a .276/.366/.465/.831 line his first go-around in AA. He's clearly not as good as Bryant, but I think a lot of people are forgetting how good he was at his peak as a prospect and how he was also supposed to be the type of player who could be good despite a high K rate. He also struck out less at that level than Bryant is now and pitchers had their way with him at higher levels. The moral is it's at least a little concerning how much Bryant K's; that is all. Dudes generally don't strike out at a ~28% clip at AA and turn out to be stars unless they're Giancarlo Stanton. Fortunately, both Javy and Bryant might be the most similar things to Giancarlo in the minors.

Is he just like Brett [expletive] Jackson who hit .297 his first 185 AAA ABs at the same age as Bryant?

Nevermind that I'm not saying they're equivalent prospects but it's silly to say who cares what his K rate is, look at the pretty numbers only!! Especially when there's not exactly a playoff race we're anxious to get him ready for.

Bryant BB

This came with first base open after Bruno hit his second double of the game and 8th in his last 6 games. Was anyone listening/watching the game who can say if it was intentional? I'd guess no, given that it was no outs in a six run game.

Double off the top of the wall for Bryant. Crushed it.
