Did all of you really sit inside all night and watch this game in front of your computers?

It was a Friday night, Game 6, a team you supposedly love, season on the line.

Get out and enjoy the game with friends/other fans and drink 15 beers for Gods sake.

Go

Kings.

Watching sporting events with people I actually know is pretty much the worst way imaginable to watch a sporting event.

Doughty is a dope

"I'm frustrated, but I'm over it pretty quickly," Doughty said. "I know we got another game to play, Game 7. We've had two chances to close out this series, and we're not going to blow a third one."

One of the big reasons for the Blackhawks' turnaround has been the play of Patrick Kane, who had four assists in Game 5 and two goals and an assist in Game 6. When Doughty was asked what the Kings had to do to stop Kane, he didn't seem overly concerned.

"Last game he got four assists, but I didn't even think he dominated the game," Doughty said. "The stat sheet tells a different story than the actual game."

"We're fine," Doughty said. "We still feel we could have won this game tonight, and we know we can still beat this Chicago Blackhawks team.

So is CNS going to have a replay of that game today?
also, i was sexually assaulted during the second intermission, something that i have neither the permissions, ability, nor time to do while at the bar.

and now you made me say that.

My daughter was the only good thing to come out of the 2007 Cubs playoff games

So why is he a dope? That sounds pretty tame and inoffensive and mostly just the cliche stuff you would hear after a game like that.

Unless I'm at the game, I will take watching at home on my TV (or, at most, at a friend's place, on his TV) every single time for any remotely big game. Watching sports I actually care about at bars is terrible.

Wanted to post those quotes and couldn't think of a better caption to them and I'm starting to dislike him so...

He's just mad that he's playing so well and still getting overshadowed by Kane since he can't quadruple shift to lock down both Toews and Kane.

Then again, the Kings might try that on game 7 anyway.

Went to a Rangers site to see who they'd rather face and the answer is pretty much unanimous: they want to play the Hawks. Surprised me a little bit. I expected the majority to say us but not 100%.

Their reasoning is they think Crawford sucks, Quick is scary, they trust their D and Lundquist to stop our top guys, and they feel like the Rangers play fast skill teams like the Hawks a lot better. Interesting.

Btw I think Quick is a bit overrated. He's better than average and at times can look stellar but not nearly elite save one playoff run.

I also don't worry about the Hawks against any goalie in the league.

Isn't Pittsburgh pretty much the only fast, skilled team in the east?
Posted

So they've got a lot of faith in their D and a relatively deep but not special forward core, and they think goalies mean something.

So just like every other east team that makes it to the final and gets trounced by the West.

That is the complete opposite of the sampling I've taken.

I heard some Ranger fans on the radio on Friday saying they wanted the Hawks to avoid the cross-country travel. Though of course that works both ways.

The Rangers are basically a poor mans version of the Kings in every respect except goalie. Doesn't mean they can't put up a good fight against either Western team, but everything would have to go right for them to make it a good series. I mean, they don't even have Carcillo.

I'm rooting for the Blackhawks just because of all of the ridiculous food deals that pop up for all of these games.

Their foot is in your door. By next season you'll own an Amonte jersey. Then you'll have 300-level season tickets.

Is it possible that they gave you a that answer because they know you are a Hawks fan?

On reddit and hfboards the only person I saw that said they'd rather face the Kings said so because he lived in LA and wanted to catch a game in person.

I refuse to ever own any kind of hockey jersey ever because of Kevin Smith.

Same reason I refuse to make terrible movies.

Sounds like they've got you worse than they've got me.

Do you ever run into St Louis fans? It's good to call their hockey team gutless choking dogs and deflect attention away from the Cubs.

This is about as 50/50 a game as it gets. Nothing would surprise me. Both teams are really good and have been skating really well. It's just going to come down to bounces, mistakes and finishes, and we'll overanalyze and convince ourselves that whchever team gets those is obviously "playing better."
