So yeah Craw at the end. I honestly thought for sure there was a goal there. I was ready to register my disgust and prepare for OT. I have to see the replays but I don't know how they didn't score

When Crawford is on he also seems to get insanely lucky at times, but screw it I'll take it

Favorite non-goal moment: Buff annihilating Pronger against the boards.

The hockey world especially in Canada is losing its mind over this series.

@cotsonika: The only way the Rangers are loving this is if they're just checking the score and not watching the game.

The two most satisfying non-finals series wins were the second time we beat Vancouver and the second time we beat Minnesota.

Vancouver especially because they wanted it so bad and that was the peak of their window and we ended their season the *exact* same way we did the year before, as if nothing they had done in the last year had changed anything.

Observation: Everyone who calls in to radio post game shows sounds like Dr. Steve Brule.

ESPN finally got to show the hockey highlights after one hour of analyzing a blowout of a series that was pre-determined from game 1 and then cut it off halfway through for LeBron and Wade's press conference. THE WORLDWIDE LEADER IN SPORTS!

That may have been the best game I've ever watched. I'd appreciate five straight wins by at least five goals.

Yes. This.

the 17 seconds thing is a pretty fantastic replay over and over and over whenever you want it, though, too. you pay for the blowouts with memories.

17 seconds was so great, but it'll always be just a little behind "Nobody knows where the puck is ... it's in the back of the net!" for me.

nah, last season was way better. in 2010, we basically knew after they went up 3-0 on sj (and had montreal or philly coming out of the east) that it was either the cup or choke. last year, i never thought they were actually going to win it until bolland scored. it felt like it came out of nowhere. also it totally validated the 21-0-3 streak and the detroit series, allowing us to enjoy those 2 things forever without them being partially ruined by not winning the cup.

The second time we beat Minnesota? I forgot that series happened and it was 2 weeks ago.

How about Detroit? Exercised a lot of demons and sent them packing to the Eastern Conference

I love how Doc mauled that call completely. Thought it was Kane. Best game I was ever at in person.

it will always kind of ruin the replayability of clip for me. such a classic hossa celebration too.

That whole sequence was so amazing with the five-minute PK and Sopel and Madden blocking every shot.

Loved that. Especially beating them on home ice.

When the Kane scored with 30 seconds left to tie, and then Hossa won it coming out of the box, I knew the Hawks were going to win the Cup.

The Wild HFBoards forum is a gift that keeps giving:

How much luck did Kane buy when he sold his soul?

That's the only explanation I can think of for how that ****er gets so many bounces and almost never gets hit.

God ****ing dammit LA you had ONE JOB TO DO, ONE JOB.

Is it just me or does it feel like he's laughing at you through the TV while he dangles around in the zone?

i absolutely love this one, too:

From the non-Cup Winner category, this is still my favorite:

Which is what is so cool about the cup. That first year, through 3 series, it seemed like the Hawks had made every great play at the very moment necessary, they had made so many memories for fans, and yet they were still 4 wins from hoisting a cup. That [expletive] is super hard to win.
