If you're an annoying defeatist fan with a team like this then stop sports.

I agree but I can see their point, everyone here are Cub fans so maybe that's where it comes from.

But they are also presumably Blackhawks fans. You remember the Blackhawks, the team that has won two of the last four Cups and 12 playoff series in the last six years, including one against our biggest rival last year when they were down 3-1?

But they are also Bears fans -- that team skating to the playoffs until their QB goes down in crushing fashion.

And Bulls fans -- that team setting up for a multi-year run at the playoffs only to see it all ripped away mercilessly with injury. Twice.

And Cubs fans. The reality of being a Cubs fan doesn't get wiped away by the Blackhawks winning a couple Cups. Only the ultimate can do that.

Cut people some slack. All I'm saying.

So how many face offs were there in that first overtime period. Talk about some exhausted skaters. Yikes. Seemed like more than 10 minutes elapsed between clock stoppages at one point.

They did, a long long time ago.

The Bulls, Bears and Cubs are all not the Blackhawks.

Yeah, I would've thought that two championships in four years would've quieted the most pessimistic of fans.

Why would you think this? Just look at Boston, they've won all sorts of titles in all of their sports and fans still freak out. Even their most "enlightened" fans, guys who made a name for themselves by ridiculing stupid sports takes, freak out when things don't look great.

Why won't fans just stop worrying about how others fans go about their fanning, especially in the heat of the moment? If you can't just shrug off or ignore somebody's whoa is my team commentary, work on your own issues first.

If we didn't argue with each other about how to be fans, what would even be the point of having message boards?

To bitch about the front office

Fans shouldn't bitch about the front office. Or maybe they should bitch about it more.

Yes, pity the poor Bulls fans.

(The Bulls, a team that has won more titles in my lifetime than every team I root for combined over that time span.)

Yeah about that. They said the entire period took 26 minutes in real time to play. That's amazing.

And Bulls fans...

No

Seriously. If Rose never plays again and the Bulls never win more than 10 games a season for the rest of my life, I wouldn't even care that much.

Me neither

And if I didn't know any better, I'd say the Rangers are boosting our anthem tradition.

All the more reason to stomp out the Kings and show the Rangers once and for all who the best anthem singers are.

This post is the most amazingly punchable thing ever. I'm pretty sure this happened as I read it:

And then I yearned to do this:
