Random thoughts: Lake may not make good contact, but he hits the ball really hard when he does.

I really don't think that's something he can do consistently long-term. Something's going to have to give.

Watching Bourjos fall in CF on Lake's triple was funny.

Yadier talking [expletive] to Lake as he scores.

Best fans in baseball can't tell what a HBP is.

I don't drink Budweiser for 2 reasons - it's bad beer and the affiliation with the Cards. I [expletive] hate seeing Bud commercials

Well they're pretty tightly affiliated with the Cubs now too.

It doesn't help that InBev bought 312 as well. Their infiltrating the perimeter!

Strike 1 to Valbuena has been a ball all game. Ball 1 was a strike to Castro and Lake.

At this point, its worth finding out if he can.

Well, this is an unexpected fake rally.

I think we've all been Cubs fans long enough to know there is no such thing

*shrug* I guess so. It was worth finding out what Bryan LaHair could do, too, but I know what the answer will probably be.

Fake rally in progress: 2.5 stars/5. Nobody is buying it.

I mean, it's not even mid April yet and we've been all but eliminated. :hello:

We were eliminated on Sept. 28, 2011, when Epstein decided he was tired of all that pressure to win every year and wanted to go to a franchise that would let him play Farm System Hero.

Stop that [expletive] [expletive]. If Ricketts had money to spend, they certainly would be spending it. But he doesn't and they can't. And you [expletive] know it.

Why even bother responding to Kyle when he posts [expletive] like that?

I don't understand why people bother reading Kyle's posts.

Hmm. So they *didn't* sit on a huge wad of cash this offseason that could have been used to help the team, and instead pinned everything on the hope that they could lowball Tanaka?
