i will make at least one post!

FUN FACTS

per Dewan's DRS, Junior Lake is 2nd in baseball with 3 out-of-zone plays! Yasiel Puig (5) has played 25 innings, so that's sort of an unfair advantage

Emilio Bonifacio leads all of baseball with 2 defensive runs saved!

Samardjiza is 3rd in baseball for RA9-WAR!

(none of our hitters have good stats)

Not even Bonifacio has good stats as a hitter?

I'm not sure David wants to watch the game from the bathroom.

So the A's had their first rainout since 1998 while the Cubs and Pirates didn't play on a gorgeous 80 degree day in Pittsburgh while the next 2 days look dreadful. Way to go, MLB!

No, it's just dumb to schedule an off day the 2nd day of the season instead of playing the 3 games and then scheduling the day off. It gives you more options to get all 3 games in.

But Opening Day is a premium date and they have to make sure they get that game in before the others. When it comes down to it, that's more important. And there randomly being an 80 degree day in Pittsburgh on the off day and the first rainout in 16 years in Oakland isn't an argument against it.
