I suppose I know about freak injuries though. When I tore my ACL in my right knee I was throwing back to the shortstop to start around the horn after a ground out (lefty first baseman). That was something I had done surely thousands of times but it just so happened that my plant leg got caught funny or something.

I'm watching the Padres vs Dodgers for 2 innings now and the Padres crew have been wrong about what happened twice now. And not little things, things clearly happening to anyone watching: they announced that Puig's pop fly fell in for a hit despite Alonso clearly making the over the shoulder catch. This was after saying strike three called on Greinke when it was clearly called a ball. It's like they don't bother watching the whole play and just assume what's going to happen.
