Lol 4 Safety's gone. This team once again will start the season with major question marks at Safety. I'm not too excited about the other ones left in the draft. brooks and Joyner could be a reach at 51

Michael Wright basically said the other day that the Bears don't hold safeties to a high regard. Could be the biggest downfall of Emery's tenure if this is true and a big mistake.

Totally forgot Joyner, I would like him in the second round but think DL is the #1 priority.

Again, improve the DL and you won't expose the safeties. DL is a bigger need than S.

I'm kind of surprised to see that many go. Not that safety isn't important, but I think teams can get by with less than earth shattering top talent there.

Good for Emery, shows how smart he is. Safety is definitely the easiest position to hide talent deficiencies on defense.

Kyle Fuller is a great pick.

the only thing i dislike is that he's going to come in and what? play special teams? nickel back?

I'm not counting on Peanut staying healthy. Fuller will get tons of time regardless. One of those DT's in the 2nd and I'm feeling optimistic about the D.

Tillman, Jennings, Hayden all 30+ in age. Zack Bowman's gone. Frey is the only young CB on the roster who is decent.

Fuller will get plenty of playing time and will be a starter by 2015, if not sooner.

Fuller will learn from one of the best, as well. Better to bring him in now while Peanut is still here.

Nickel back (the Bears played nickel 48% of the time and that was with the mediocre Frey), some free safety and definitely special teams (he's a stud on ST). And that's assuming Tillman is healthy all season.

Fuller is a great pick. I know I have been banging this drum for months on this board, but we are paper thin in the defensive backfield. I won't expound on that conclusion as most everyone above here has already done so.

This draft is setting up very well for the Bears, what with all the high-end DL's who have fallen into the 2nd Rnd. Depending on what happens with the first 10-12 picks, I wouldn't be surprised to see Emery trade up a few slots to make sure he lands a very good DT or DE like Ealy, Tuitt, Nix, Hageman, Jernigan or Crichton.

Personally I'd love to snag Nix, but I feel like he'll be gone early tomorrow. I can't believe he's still there.

I CANT BELIEVE THAT I CAN'T FIND ONE OF THE MANY TIMES IN WHICH TUCKER HAD A SAFETY RUN BLITZ CALLED PERFECTLY AND CONTE [expletive] WHIFFED ON THE TACKLE. DO YOU THINK THE BEARS PULLED ALL THOSE OFF THE INTERNET?

you have to have safeties capable of making a tackle first
