I have very little doubt that McCown gives the Bears the best chance to win next week.

Well, that's just wrong.

Is it? I'm not saying he is the better quarterback, but he is the better quarterback right now.

Great. Because of that the consensus is going to be that it's cutlers fault the eagles won by 36+ points.

Just wait until McCown puts up some garbage yards and maybe a TD. Thank Jeebus that Xmas will temper the stupidity.

Hester is so bad at his job now.

That's on Trestman. Same with Podlesh. He's gotta do something about it.

Trestman? Maybe the ST coach or the GM not giving him better options. I guess you could put some of the blame on him but I think there's better options.

I think this is right but DVOA had the bears special teams in the top 8 every year for a decade under Taub. This year they are something like 16th

I know ST are bad. See what Weems can do. Couldn't be worse. Emery should have had a better punter week 5.

Was that a drop too

Is this the start of some idiotic meatball rant against Cutler?

No, it was a rant against the meatballs who have taken it way too far the other way and can't admit when he sucks

I'll call Jay out when he sucks. He wasn't very good tonight. Wasn't at all the biggest problem (defense, oline, special teams) but he wasn't good.

I disagree. Cutler is still not right. How many times has he got up slowly tonight on seemingly pedestrian hits? He still doesn't look 100% healthy to me.

I think it will be the opposite. Meatballs will be gathering in person and talk will inevitably turn to the Bears and Cutler will be brought up and even people who aren't anti-cutler will be sucked into the meatball vortex

No one that anyone should be listening to blames Cutler for this disgrace.

At the same time he didn't do anything to stem the bleeding.

They went three and out, and the next time he had the ball it was 14-0.

This is Jay. The highs are high and the lows low. I don't think he's had a great 5 game stretch as a Bear. Can he do it now going against really good teams? But horrible oline tonight hasn't helped.

Pedestrian hits? That was 2010-esque pass protection he was getting. He got hit pretty solidly a few times.

if i'm trestman, mccown hands off on literally every snap. don't even give the stupid people the chance to be stupid.

I fully endorse this.

Cutler was probably the best player on the field today for the Bears (sadly) before that pick 6. Anyone complaining about him is a moron.

This is a good example of meatballing the other way

He's probably not 100%, but he can run a little and has the entire playbook. The only thing that mattered going into this season was evaluating Cutler. These games are hugely important for that. Bears aren't winning the SB with Cutler or McCown anyway with this defense.
