I want the Lions to lose just as much to see Jim Schwartz fired because I really dislike that man

Some of the local sports media seems to think that unless they get to the super bowl, he's likely out anyway.

Wish some of those FGs would be touchdowns.

I think this is correct:

Bears win

Packers win

Lions win or lose

Then: Bears clinch with win, Packers clinch with win, Lions eliminated

Bears win

Packers lose

Lions win

Then: Bears clinch with win, Lions clinch with win and Bears loss, Packers eliminated

Bears win

Packers lose

Lions lose

Then: Bears clinch division, Packers and Lions eliminated

Bears lose

Packers win

Lions win

Then: Bears clinch with win and Lions loss, Lions clinch with win and Packers loss, Packers clinch with win

Bears lose

Packers lose

Lions win

Then: Bears clinch with win and Lions loss, Lions clinch with win, Packers clinch with win and Lions loss

Bears lose

Packers lose

Lions lose

Then: Bears clinch with win, Packers clinch with a win, Lions eliminated

Bears lose

Packers win

Lions lose

Then: Bears clinch with win, Packers clinch with win, Lions eliminated

YES!

Sucks even more that the Packers won now, but I'll gladly take it for a Lions loss that due to calls by the refs, probably shouldn't have happened.

I'll put on my Bears homer hat and say that every team gets screwed by the refs, Bears included.

Lions pissed this away just like they historically piss away games. I mean - Ravens never found the end zone and the Lions still couldn't win.

And as bad as some of those calls were, nobody forced Stafford to throw 3 horrendous picks in the 2nd half.

Feels good for the Bears to have control of their own destiny. Too bad the Packers and the Lions are both at home and play patsies. Maybe this will be such a demoralizing loss the Lions will drop another. Who knows, either way, the Bears can earn their way in and blame no one but themselves.

Yeah, this screwjob had a pretty direct impact though. If they call the arm-bar in the end zone it's 1st and goal from the 1, likely 7 instead of 3, and therefore likely a Detroit win. You're right in that they should have won anyway, but in a game decided by two points those calls become amplified.

Anyway, time to start bracing for Cutler vs. Rodgers for the division.

At one time people thought the NFC North might be one of the league's best divisions.

Now it's a battle of attrition, no WC team, and 9-7 might very well take it.

Pettigrew: "What?" or "Why?"

Haha.

I'm deaf and wear cochlear implants so I'm pretty good at reading lips and that's look like "What?". It's even funnier when you notice he smacked Megatron's ass right before that. LOL

Since the Bears will most likely be the 3 seed if they get in, it would be really nice if Carolina beat the Saints at home this week. At home vs Saints or 49ers in the WC round and @ Carolina in the divisional round is definitely the route we want to take.

I assume no shot at 2 seed with the other divisions having 10 win teams and our poor conference record...

Yeah Bears were eliminated from that when Carolina won on Sunday. The 2 NFC South teams have 10 wins already, so the best the Bears could do is tie them, and the Bears are only 4-6 in the conference vs. 7-3 for SF and 8-2 for NO (which doesnt matter bc the Saints beat the Bears head to head).

Also I'm not sure how the Bears would most likely be the 3 seed, they are in the 4 seed right now. Obviously if the Bears can beat Philly this weekend the odds greatly increase though. Lets just worry about making it.

If they beat Philly they'll either be the 3 seed or miss the playoffs, as they'll be a game up on them plus the head-to-head tiebreaker. They also have the tiebreaker over Dallas if they end up winning the East. Getting the 4 seed would require losing to Philly, the Lions losing again, and then of course beating GB. While the Lions could lose again, I have to think the first scenario is more likely.

I agree though, just get in.
