Penn State wins their BYE week, gets some scholarships back that never should've been taken away.

Funny.

Because nothing says "punish a child molester" like "take free education away from 20 innocent kids"

It's punishing the program. It's not like the kids they were going to offer scholarships to were still forced to attend the school and pay for it.

Plus if they're good enough to play football at Penn State they'll be getting a scholarship to play somewhere else...

my god

The "Hokie Stone" design is just that – Virginia Tech players will look like they have helmets made of rocks. Hokie Stone is a name coined for a type of rock mined near the Blacksburg campus and used on the facades of many buildings at the school.

I wish there was some way to not punish the current coaches and players at PSU while still laying out punishment on those who were guilty of crimes. Too bad that does not seem possible.

More seriously though the only reason I wanted PSU to receive NCAA sanctions was to punish the meatball fans and the Franco Harris types. If that could happen without the probation I would be good

I think Nike/Adidas/Under Armour/etc are having a contest with each other to see who can get an FBS school to wear the stupidest uniform possible in a real game.

There is. It's called the criminal justice system. Those accused of crimes have either already had their day in court (Sandusky) or will soon (Schultz, Curley, Spanier).

That's treating the symptom, not the disease. The culture at PSU (and other places) made it all possible and has to be changed.

And the punishment is being reduced because the school is showing that they've changed the culture.

Florida DT Dominique Easley (probably the Gators' best player) might have torn his ACL in a non-contact drill in practice yesterday. Muschamp seems to be downplaying the injury and saying it's not that severe.

I feel like EhDubya's stance is showing the culture hasn't changed.

Unfortunately I agree with this. Although it fuels the idiots who think the punishment was too severe.

I still think the punishment was too weak and disagree with this. There shouldn't be a parole for good behavior in this case.

Should be a good time watching Manziel bitch-slap Bielema's crew.

As a Razorback fan, let me tell you that this will happen and it will be a slaughter. Our starting QB is probably still out this week and the backup is dreadful, like it's as if he's never seen an actual football before dreadful. I am expecting something along the lines of 44-10.

Dominique Easley did tear his ACL. He's out for the season and should tumble come draft day.

Book of Manning was solid. Archie was an absolute boss back in college. His elusiveness and playmaking ability looked a lot like Manziel. Loved seeing the old video of him running head first into a group of tacklers with a broken arm hanging by his side. Real shame he spent his career with such terrible, terrible teams.

Agreed. I have gotten to become an acquaintance of Cooper. He is just as gregarious and funny as the documentary showed. The whole family is solid.

You have a couple of good RB's from what little I've seen. Our D is still shaky against the run, so I'd bet you'll put up more than 10. I also think we'll score more than 44, though. Wish I was making the trip to Fayetteville.
