I did this quiz in 2011 (missed last year)

http://www.sporcle.com/games/Zipcity/nfl-starting--qbs-by-alma-mater-2013

Almost a 50% turnover rate in QB's in 2 seasons

Maybe I'm an NFL nerd, but that's a pretty easy quiz.

And to your point, pretty crazy how many starting QB's are relatively recent draft picks. There was a dearth of QB talent, sans Brady and Manning, in the early-mid 2000's.

Letting go of the football 3 yards short of the endzone on the interception was just a thing of beauty. I honestly thought no one would EVER do that again after DeShawn Jackson did it his rookie year.

I got everyone but the FSU pick from this year.

Let's take a look at those 15 QBs who will start, who were drafted '10 or later:

Newton

Griffin

*Ponder

*Manuel

*Gabbert

Kaepernick

*Pryor

Bradford

*Weeden

Luck

*Tannehill

Dalton

*Locker

*Smith

Wilson

The ones with * by them are those who I'm guessing will fail in the NFL, ultimately. I'd say that 50% failure rate is going to continue.

edit: forgot Bradford.

He said he had no idea that he wasn't already in the endzone when he dropped the football. I'm curious what more the NFL could do to make it OBVIOUS whether he has crossed the line.

1. The fat goal line.

2. The lack of yard markers beyond the goal line

3. The bright orange pylons at each end of the goal line

4. The bright orange sign at the end of each goal line

5. The goal post at the back of the endzone

6. The brightly colored team logo that fills most of the endzone.

COME ON, MAN!

Yeah, I'm not anywhere near being an NFL nerd and that was pretty easy. Took awhile for Tannehill to come to me, though.

It would have been so much more fun if that play mattered.

Considering one of his teammates got taken out on the play while trying to recover the fumble, I'd say it did matter a little bit. He ended up coming back into the game later, but can you imagine how bad it would have been for him if that play cost one of his teammates a season ending injury?

WHAT ABOUT THE 6 FANTASY POINTS IT COST ME!

The quiz I made 2 years ago was harder, as there were some injured starters whose backups ended up starting week one. Plus you had random badness like Tavaris Jackson out there

I will say, while I don't like monday games, having 10 noon games on Sunday is silly.

Simmons has been railing on that for years. This particular week, CBS is showing the US open finals during the 3pm slot

10 AM on the West Coast. Horrible.

How is that a bad thing? That's just less terrible pre-game show to watch/time to kill. I'd love it. I really like the 11 am CT college starts. Those are great.

Sunday is the only day all week I can sleep in so I'd prefer waking up later than 10. I wouldn't mind if the Bears at least played more 1 PM games.

I like the 10 games, so I can still do something after the game.

What are you talking about? It'll be over in 3 hours so gooney can get to all his taped shows. It's perfect.

I don't follow college football even a little bit, so I had a lot of trouble with that quiz. Would be different if I could just go rattling off the names of starters, but identifying them by college? Nope.

The years helped me more than anything.

You're going to hate when you become an adult.

No [expletive]. I wish I was physically capable of sleeping that late anymore. That doesn't happen unless I was out until like 4 am, which happens about once every 2 years.
