Rios + $1 million to the Rangers for a PTBNL

Also, apparently Hahn said the White Sox are going to try to compete next year.

That will be difficult with 3 quality long term pieces on the major league team and nothing in the farm system.

That won't be difficult with 3 quality long term pieces and 22 others with TWTW.

Of course he said that. The Cubs said variations of the same sentiment before this season and the last one.

That means they're going to compete for the 1st draft choice.

Which would be better for the than pretending they can compete. I hope they actually do try, it'll just mean they're going to suck for a longer period of time.

whenever one of these [expletive] white sox fans starts running their mouth about the world series, i mock them for speaking as if they are the yankees of the central division. then i remind them that they're only one of four teams that have never been to the playoffs in back-to-back years. and of that elite club, they have had by far the greatest amount of chances to avoid that distinction. they've seen the postseason 9 times in 113 years. they are horrible, boring, and their stadium points towards gary, in

None of which trumps them winning the World Series.

Not quite yet, but soon. 2005 was a long time ago. It didn't take long for the Bears Super Bowl luster to wear off on the enjoyment of that team, and the White Sox are basically in the Wanny years now. They've only been under .500 in four of eight seasons since, but they are right in the crapper now.

Kind of implied though.
