Yet another example of Vogelbach doing plenty of stuff right, but then you look at the total production and think "is that all?"

McLeod's comment about him being consistent has stuck with me. Vogelbach hasn't had any of those big valleys like we've seen with guys like Baez, he's just missing the 2-3 week tear where he kills everything in sight. I'm curious to see if he has one of those in him during the 2nd half, because there's no one thing you can point to as to why he's not hitting more.

Hendricks done at 8 IP, 5 H, 1 BB, 6 K on 91 pitches.

Love it. When some of the flotsam at AAA gets cleared out, i'd like to see a few AAA starts this year for him.

I'd like to see him, Cabrera, and Rosscup on Iowa in the very near future.

Alcantara seems to be in a bit of a slump. .195/.250/.341 in his last 10.

leal's final line: 5ip, 1h, 0r, 1bb, 7k. thanks d-backs.

@billazbbphotog: Second straight strong outing for AZL #Cubs pitcher Erick Leal. Effective strike thrower with good secondary pitches.
