Another Javy BB. Kinda amazing to watch.

I wish we had access to pitch locations/logs for his ab's to compare what he wasn't/was taking earlier in the year compared to what he is/isn't taking now to see what the cause of this bb% increase.

Is it just a case of pitchers missing so badly or pitching around him, he simply can't swing and thus a bb% increase or is it he is laying off similar pitches/locations now that he was swinging at earlier in the year?

I don't think it particularly matters all that much. It might make a slight difference, but pitchers at every level are going to tread carefully given his abilities, so if he's learning to not kill himself if they're afraid of him, that translates to the MLB level as well.

Since we love arbitrary endpoints with regard to Baez, I'll just throw out that he's hitting .055/191/222 in his last 6.

Look at that isoD though

Not entirely surprising if he's changing his approach at the plate, which his increased walk rate would seem to indicate.

Baez still will get one or two more AB's this game. But if he finishes hitless, it will be 9 games ago since his last hit in play.

Does anyone know what's up with Marcelo Carreno?

He's injured and still at Fitch.

Baez will finish the day hitless, but also with no K's

He did pick up his 28th error, though.

Didn't Baez go something like 2-2 with two 2B in the All-Star game in this stretch? Though they don't count in his stats.

Plan on making at least 2 of the 4 KC games this weekend. Pretty exciting team right now. Hoping Johnson will start Friday or Saturday assuming he isn't moved in the next 48 hours.
