The Cubs have won 5 in a row now and look to keep the streak going against the NL West leading Diamondbacks. We have an odd Saturday night tilt at the Friendly Confines. Especially with it being on at the same time as Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals (aka the Blackhawks game).

For those of you who will be watching the game... :) ...

The D-Backs send Ian Kennedy to the mound, sporting a record of 2-3 with an ERA of 4.70. Not really impressive for a first place team.

The Cubs will send "ace" Jeff Samardzija with his 3-6 record and 2.85 ERA. He will have to swing a might bat to keep up with his rotation mates.

Who will be the slugger to hit a grand slam for the third day in a row? :D

Go Cubs!

It's my understanding that FOX games with a start time after 7:00 pm EST will not be blacked out on MLB.TV.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MLB.com#Blackout_restrictions

Does anyone have first-hand experience with this?

I'm assuming that changed when Fox changed from Saturday afternoon games to Saturday night games. Could be wrong though.

I think you're right. It doesn't look like it's available.

Fox games are blacked out, as are any games that start within a 3-hour radius of those games, regardless of when the Fox games start. Fox has had games at 1, 4, and 7 EST on different Saturdays this year, and the blackouts move with them.

This one is starting in a rain delay

Gonna rain 'til the hockey game ends, eh?

The best type of rain delay.

And FOX is playing Cards/Giants here in central Iowa. Lame.

Well duh, that's right in your backyard.

We're getting Reds/Pirates in south central wisconsin - what the [expletive] hell?!? I'd rather see your game if we aren't going to see the Cubs.

Does Liriano look as good as his stat line would suggest?
