There's no "little thing" that Castillo isn't bad at.

Throwing?

Cubs pitchers are hitting .306/.306*/.673 this month.

*ESPN doesn't have sacrifices or PA under monthly splits so this is actually lower when you include sacrifices.

Cool, so .306/.272/.673 then.

only sacrifice flies are factored in OBP, the bunts don't matter

should be .300/.300/.660 after that last AB by Wood

i think we found the new market inefficiency

Officially time to switch Valbuena and Castro in the order. You can't have a guy with that low of an OBP batting high in the order.

Okay I'm officially worried and irritated that Sveum doesn't understand that Russell is good against RHP.

Excited to see Putnam though. Hope he gets the 8th too if he gets this guy.

Didn't he just face a couple and let 2 straight guys get on?

Flowers grounded out and Greene walked, De Aza is left handed.

Righties are hitting .214/.290/.250 against him this year.

Any reason that Wood was lifted when he was? 6 IP, 88 pitches, 7-2 lead. Responsible for 4 of those runs. Doesn't strike me as a logical point to pull him.

Take what you can out of the guy. No reason to push him.

Like I said, he let him face a couple there and let 2 straight guys get on. Seems like an odd time to point out that he doesn't understand he is good against RHP. Up 5 he probably wanted to see the new guy and didn't feel like extending Russell. The bullpen is relatively fresh after a Shark complete game, rainout and a laugher. Plus they have 2 scheduled off days next week. Time to get some guys the work.

Petition to play only the White Sox, Marlins and Padres the rest of the year.
