Awesome! Did I just miss this or is this the first we've heard that Maples was promoted?

There's nothing on the Internet so far (Kane County lists tomorrow's starter as TBA and no roster moves have been made) but on the Kane County broadcast today, they mentioned Maples was up with the team and would start tomorrow. It was the first and only time I've heard about Maples being promoted, but don't forget Arizona Phil mentioned he was getting stretched out with an eye on Kane County. He is on 4 days rest from that outing.

It looks like he takes Lendy Castillo's spot in the Cougars' rotation.

Jeimer homer

Nice, hopefully he gets the bat going. He has a nice bb% but his avg/slg is pretty poor (and his babip is about normalized at .270). Hopefully he can get to Kane County by mid-summer.

I know you know he's in Kane County already. :D

I doubt Candelario will get to Daytona this season but it's definitely nice to see power from him.

Agreed with Tangled Up in Plaid that - Maples' biggest issue (besides health) had been control. Definitely nice to see no BBs and HBPs.

Jackson with a .259/.369/.444 line and a 28% K rate if my math is right. Getting close to 100 PAs.

A 28% K rate in AAA is pretty close to disqualifyingly awful, even if it's slightly better than last year.

Largely injury riddled, adjusting to a new swing, and with half a spring training. I'm giving him a little longer with the new swing before making any judgements on whether he's fixed.

In the last 4 games since he came back he's K'd twice in 17 PAs.

Candelario is literally the last player on KC's roster I want to see in Daytona this year. Hes super young and there's not much he could reasonably do the rest of this year at 19 to justify more than say a playoff appearance at the next level.

Kyle Hendricks with another extremely solid outing:

6.2 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 4 K, 9/4 GO/FO

ERA is down to 2.63

This

And if he's playing well I'd rather not see his routine interrupted by the monsoon season down there either.
