I feel like people have thought more highly of the RAngers than their play or their record actually merits. Maybe it's because of the short season and people think that this is the same Rangers team that played so well last year. They needed 7 games to get past a Caps team that was not very good. They have trouble scoring.

i mean, they're good and they definitely deserve to be where they are. and of course, they have an excellent goalie. but they're not as good as the bruins, and and they're a noticeable step below la and the hawks. if they make it out of the east, whoever wins the west is going to feel pretty good about their chances, and rightly so.

I think its one of those things where they have a lot of talent but don't play up to potential. I know a lot of people had them as favorites after they got Nash. And then yeah the randomness of short season leads people to believe they are more dangerous than their record.

I'd still rather play them than Boston, and probably the Penguins. The more I think about the Penguins though the more I think they can be beaten by a puck possession team with good defenders, but they are certainly formidable.

The pens have good forwards but their defense is bad and their goalies both suck.

It's funny, the Pens fans here aren't feeling good about their team at all.

This is only the second time in history that the last four teams remaining won the last four Stanley Cups. The last time it happened was 1945, when Toronto, Detroit, Montreal and Boston were in the playoffs. Of course, there were only six teams in the league at that point.

The last time both No. 1 seeds made the conference finals was 2006-07. The last time both No. 1 seeds played in the Stanley Cup Finals was 2000-01.

The playoff schedule is completely idiotic. The Pens-Bruins should open Friday night and Hawks Kings Saturday night. Why schedule back to back games for the first 2 games of a series? Makes no sense.

It's hard to tell what will happen in the East. Vokoun isn't very good but hasn't really had to be. The Bruins have had the easiest path to the finals of the remaining teams- The Sens were better than the Leafs, the Crosbies are just that good.

The key will be Malkin's line vs. The Bergeron line. Not that they'll necessarily go head to head but how productive they are will determine the series. It's hard to cheer for the Crosbies, but I'd rather see their brand of hockey in the finals instead of the talented goons of Boston.

The Rolling Stones have concerts in the UC on Friday night and Monday night.

And they wanted their premier team, Pittsburgh, playing Saturday night in primetime.

unrelated question: are any of the Rolling Stones great grandparents yet?

Boston 3-0.

i'd rather play the pens than the bruins right now. the bruins look like the hawks.

4-1 at the end of the first. the bruins look absolutely devastating. they are moving the puck like i've never seen.

Boston is really exposing Pittsburgh weakness...defensive depth and goaltending. I am not surprised that Boston is winning but not like this

Sooner or later, bad goal tending was going to hurt the Pens. Surprised it's this bad though.

If the Hawks advance they will be the best team the Bruins have faced all year.

by a pretty wide margin, since they can't play themselves

Tuuka Rask is one silly looking individual

i dunno man, zdeno chara might have him beat. his eyes aren't even on the same parallel, which just adds to the weird oblong chris chelios thing he has going on
