Tuuka Rask is one silly looking individual

i dunno man, zdeno chara might have him beat. his eyes aren't even on the same parallel, which just adds to the weird oblong chris chelios thing he has going on

Rask has clown hair and looks like he just ate some shrooms.

Longest game of the playoffs so far.

It's hard to believe that the Pens have had such trouble scoring goals this series. Rask is good but he's Roy.

it's a little surprising, but they also didn't get very many shots off in the first two games

101 shot attempts last night, i think. rask is a spectacular goalie.

He must be, Jonesie already declared Boston the Stanley Cup winners. Maybe he didn't mean to but he said "when they win the Stanley Cup he (Campbell) will be part of the ceremony". Hopefully that's some kind of jinx.

It would be great if Boston found a way to blow this lead like they did in 2010 against the Flyers.

Boston has looked pretty dominant this series obviously, but the Penguins still have 2 home games and despite issues on the defensive side are a very talented team. Obviously not very likely but possible. I would love to see Boston at least get a scare and have the Pens win a couple of games....too much trash talk going on by the Bruins fans right now.

Seriously, these Bruins fans on HF Boards are acting like the SCF are a meaningless victory tour at this point. Those cocky bitches have completely forgotten just 3 years ago they blew a 3-0 lead. I hate Boston fans and if this series happens its going to be so annoying.

The Pens play no defense and have Voukoun as their starting goaltender. The Pens also aren't particularly fast for a team that scores a lot of goals. How quickly they forget that they nearly, perhaps should have, lost to the Toronto [expletive] Maple Leafs.

Can you link me to some of this? Been a while since I've been HFboards.

at first i thought you meant that the pens almost lost to the leafs

but yeah, bruins fans are pretty insufferable. if the habs weren't a thing, bruins fans would be the east's answer to the canucks

They're Boston fans. Prior to 2004 they were relatively sympathetic figures, but there's a reason things like Tawwwwmy from Quincy exist. They are horrible people and on top of that have become horribly arrogant sports fans.

This has always been the argument for idiots regarding not wanting the Cubs to win the WS. I could see Cub fans becoming pretty arrogant after some success but when it comes right down to it, if the Hawks, Cubs and Bears all won and Chicago became the new Boston I'll gladly take all the vitriol that the rest of the sports world can dish out.

I think this is a possibility, if the they all won and won frequently. But the difference is that Boston truly has some of the worst people in America. Think of all the worst NY stereotypes, but with none of the influx of other cultures, foreign and domestic, moving into the area to offer respite from the scum.

You just described Philly. The idea that there's a group of people worse than the denizens of Philadelphia is the stuff of legend. It's like that first Viking that said "Let's try sailing west".

I'll defer here though since you live between the two groups whereas I (thankfully) never come into contact with Boston fans.

Well..., I should back away from the statement that it's clearly worse than Philly. It's debatable.

actually, they are pretty much the same with the main difference that Bostonians have the supreme arrogance that comes with several sporting championships in a relatively small period of time.

For living in the northeast, Jersey, you don't seem to like it much.

I don't live in Boston or Philly. I love it here.

It's also the general stereotypical sports fan I am talking about. I have friends/in-laws who are fans of just about every team in this part of the country. For the most part, I can have a rational conversation with any of them without animosity, with the exception of the Boston fans. I have some acquaintances who are Boston fans and will only talk about the kids or other non-sports topics with them.
